April Update

This spring Bailey's Beginnings has two full time positions available!! AND I'm offering a limited time offer to families!! November Update

I recently learned that I will be losing my part time baby this coming summer :( I'll miss the little guy but his family has gotten a wonderful job opportunity in New Mexico! The good news is this means I will have a second full time position available!

As of today, November 3rd, I still have just the one full time position. But come June or July there will be a second opening! So keep me in mind for summer care!

August Update

As of Monday, August first there is only one full time position available! The part time position is still available if you don't need care for Mondays and Wednesdays. Preschool age children are preferred, but if you only need brief before/after school care we may be able to work something out.

Summer openings!

As of July 1st I will have 2 full time openings and one part time. The part time opening is for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please contact me with any questions!

Hours and Rates

Hours: 5:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Date night hours: 5:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m Mon. - Fri. and all day Saturday.

Prices:

* In diapers- $42 per day

* Potty-trained- $35 per day

* Potty trained- $5 per hour (minimum of 2 hours)

*In diapers - $6

* If you just need a date night the hourly rate is $7

-- A "day" is 7-10 hours, anything less goes to the hourly rate to SAVE YOU MONEY!!

Additional information:

Children should be dropped off with supplies for the day including: at least one meal and one snack worth of food, diapers (if necessary), and a change of clothes(just in case).

Qualifications

My qualifications include:

* CPR/First Aid Certified

* 4 years experience as child care provider

* American Sign Language student

* Food Handlers Card

As your child care provider I will help your children to develop/learn:

* Social and emotional skills

* Reading and writing

* Large/small motor skills

* Potty training

I am also currently an American Sign Language student. If you have deaf or hard of hearing children I would be capable of communicating with them and would advocate deaf culture.

ASL has also proven to be very beneficial to hearing children! It helps them to learn communication skills at a much earlier age and when they do start talking they generally speak very well!

Discipline

As far as discipline goes I am a firm but fair caretaker. I do not tolerate things such as taking toys, hitting, pushing, throwing toys or fits, talking back or disrespecting others property/feelings/personal space. I use a three step method that I use with my son and have had much success with.

* First offence: warning; explain what he/she is doing wrong and why its unacceptable

* Second offence: time-out (one min for every year in age)

* Third offence: time-out and loss of privilege

Of course the majority of the time the need for disciplinary action can be avoided by providing an environment that keeps their minds and hands busy with educational activities.
